On starting quietly

I almost did not start this. There are already enough newsletters in the world — most of them shouting, most of them tracking everything you click, most of them written on a schedule that prioritises the schedule over the writing. I have been a subscriber to most of them at some point. I am, like you probably are, slowly unsubscribing from most of them.

This is the alternative I wanted to read.

What this is

Short notes on the practice of building well. The recurring topics: AI workflows that actually save time, marketing systems that compound, SEO that respects the reader, automation that quietly removes friction, productivity habits that survive a busy week, and the wider question of what it means to make calm software on the modern web.

It is written by one person. There is no editorial team. There is no media kit. There are no sponsorships.

What this is not

Not a daily. Not a weekly. Not a "growth" channel. There will be no referral incentives, no leaderboards, no "share with three friends to unlock". The single signal I want to optimise for is whether the issue was worth your time after you finished reading it.

If you are looking for hot takes within an hour of a model release, this will disappoint you. The form factor here is the kind of email that you read once carefully and forget about — and then remember three weeks later when the right situation comes up.

Who it is for

People who build things. Engineers, marketers, founders, operators, students. Anyone who likes the slower, quieter end of the internet.
